In order for the field experience to be pleasant, safe, enriching and fun, it is necessary that you keep in mind:
Before the Expedition:
1. Inform the organizers of your state of health.
2. If you have fever, vomiting, diarrhea, chills or simply are not in optimal conditions for the trip, it is not recommended that you attend the expedition.
3. The best repellents are the natural ones, take Thiamine and Vitamin B fifteen days before.
4. Get vaccinated against yellow fever and tetanus.
5. Prepare well in advance: change of clothes, medicines if you are under treatment, identity documents and EPS card.
6. Take a backpack and few clothes, keep in mind that you are going to the countryside.
7. Sleep well the night before the expedition.
8. Avoid eating fatty foods or red meats the day before and replace them with carbohydrates.
For the Expedition
1. Pack your clothes in a backpack (backpack) packing weight first at the bottom and against the wall that fits on the back (denim pants, towel, sandals, short sleeve t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts, underwear for seven days).
2. Don't forget to bring a blanket or sleeping bag.
3. Wear appropriate clothing that is not tight-fitting and suitable for warm weather (denim pants, light and airy clothing).
4. Eat a good breakfast every day before starting activities. If you eat other types of food, make sure it does not contain much fat.
5. Spare clothes inside and outside. Don't forget to bring spare shoes so that you can walk and explore at your leisure. Use a backpack to keep your hands free during the expedition.
6. Warm up before starting any activity, including joint movements and muscle stretching.
7. Use tennis shoes or comfortable shoes with grippy soles (avoid those with smooth soles).
8. Wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
9. Wear sunscreen.
10. Always carry your identity documents, including your E.P.S. affiliation card.
11. Carry a water bottle and fill it permanently during the expedition with bottled water provided by the Expedition. Let's contribute to the care of the environment.
12. It is suggested to consume some sweets (snacks, chocolates, etc.) appropriate to recover energy.
13. Do not go over or away from your guide (facilitator) during the field experience.
14. In case of an accident do not mobilize the injured, facilitate the work of the group leader, he is prepared for these cases.
15. Follow the guide's indications.
16. If you are a nervous person and do not know how to handle the adrenaline that extreme sports produce, we recommend that you tell the facilitator in charge.
17. If your heart calls you: Bring gifts for the indigenous communities. For the children, school supplies in good condition. For the adults, fish hooks, fishing nylons, knives, solar lanterns, etc. (It is not necessary to bring them to the community).
The Day After the Expedition
1. Avoid staying still, move around, walk, go up and down stairs, this facilitates the recovery of muscle tone.
Drink plenty of fluids, your body needs it.
3. Develop the habit of walking frequently, this will improve your cardio-vascular capacity.
General Environmentally Friendly Provisions
For the contribution to the conservation objectives of the areas we thank you for taking into account:
It is not allowed:
1. Throw organic and inorganic garbage, dispose of them in the pockets of your backpack and then throw them in the garbage of the camp. These will be separated and returned to the municipality of Inírida.
2. Enter the resguardos and Reserve toxic or polluting substances that may disturb the ecosystems.
3. Refrain from the use of elements that produce fire in the facilities, or around the shelter areas, because these are usually built in wood and sometimes are immunized, so any accident would cause a fire.
4. Collect and take biological material.
5. Buying or selling wildlife.
6. Taking photographs of wildlife that is not in its natural environment.
7. Taking selfies with wildlife in captivity or that are pets of inhabitants of the region.
8. Buying hunting by-products (skins, skulls, feathers, etc.) to avoid their extinction.
9. Giving food to wildlife.
10. To make fire and excavations.
11. Produce noise or use instruments or sound equipment that disturbs the natural environment.
12. During the tour do not separate from the group and be attentive to your companions.
13. Travel only in the established areas and tours should only be done in the company of environmental interpreters. Maintenance and Cleaning. Non-biodegradable garbage (cans, plastics, glass), generated or carried by visitors, must be removed from the area.

It is important to understand that the food included in the plan is prepared by the people of the community and the menu is based on typical products of the region, avoiding the use of products from other regions. If you wish you can ask for details of this menu and in case you need or want food that is not from the area, we ask for your understanding and suggest that you bring it as part of your luggage.
