Guasca Paragliding and Chingaza
Paragliding – Sacred Lagoons of Siecha
Jardín Colibrí (Hummingbird Gardens) – Guasca
To paraglide is to free yourself and live like the birds... and to visit Park Chingaza is to rivive the freedom of the Condor …
The sacred lagoons of Siecha are located in the National Park of Chingaza, which is of invaluable wealth for colombians. Here Muisca indians celebrated the festival of “Running the Earth”, which consisted of performing rituals that revolve around El Dorado in several of the highland lagoons of the ancient Muiscan territory.
The Cacique reached the lake and bathed in ointments of gold. This was made in form of payment (pagamento) for all that Mother Earth gave them and with permission he would sail in a golden raft to the middle of the lagoon. This was the center of their universe. The lagoon would get colored in gold.
