At the National Park of Sumapaz, which stands between 3000 and 3600 meters of hight, we can find the splendid lagoons of Negra and Larga. This moorland (páramo) is one of the most important ecosystems of Colombia and quite unique in the world. A place of overwhelming beauty and mythic stories of pre-hispanic past.
We will depart by the southern exit of Usme, passing by the reservoir of La Regadera and the lakes of Chisacá until reaching the sector of La Media Naranja.
We will appreciate the flight of the eagles and the roaming of rabbits, lizards, the grasslands and the frailejones. This is a place to love, to know and to preserve.
Sumapaz is the world's largest páramo.
