Quebrada la Vieja (Old Ravine)


This route begins at Circunvalar avenue and 72nd street and goes through the andean forest that surrounds the capital city. Along this path we will be able to spot different species of birds while entering its foggy forest.


Duration: 4hrs


Itinerary:

7:00 AM: Meeting point is at the interception of Circunvalar and 71st street, which is the entry to the natural reserve Quebrada Vieja).

From this point we will start de ascent along the river sight. We'll reach the refuge of the ranger.

Snack.

Return through the same route.

RECOMMENDATIONS


This will be a walk at the rising slope of a mountain therefor it is recommend to be in good physical and health condition. We will star at 2600 meters above sea level and will reach the 3000 meters.

This will be a moderate hike and it will last aprox 3hrs. Bring appropriate clothing for mountain climate like waterproof pants, hat, boots, sunblock, water, change of clothes, camera, snacks and fruits, energy drinks and personal documents.
